Each year on Thanksgiving weekend guild members open their private studios to the public. This special opportunity allows visitors to observe artisans working in media like wood, floor cloths, stonework, jewelry, ceramics, glassware, fiber, sculpture and many more. A local vineyard also participates in the tour.
The mission of the Artisans Guild of the Eastern Shore of Virginia is to encourage interaction among members, to further their development and advance regional fine arts and craftsmanship, while seeking to further mutual interests and maintain standards. The guild fosters social contact, encourages and promotes the work of its members and provides marketing opportunities.
Our website is still in development, so check back soon for more information and details about our 2017 studio tour and guild membership.
